Session terms, in plain English
These terms cover the Comprehensive Intake and Live Debrief. They are meant to be short. How your written responses and any voice note are handled is set out separately in the Privacy Notice.

What you're buying
The eight-section written intake, read closely by Matthew Gilsenan, followed by one live coaching session of approximately 60 minutes and a written report delivered to your secure page and available for download for 90 days. Sessions are held by video unless we agree otherwise.
What this is not
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, legal advice, or financial advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. If something you bring would be better served by clinical care, Matthew will say so and suggest you seek appropriate support.
Confidentiality
What you write and what you say is held in confidence and is read and heard only by Matthew Gilsenan. It is not shared with your employer, with whoever is paying, or with anyone else, without your explicit agreement. Two limits apply: where disclosure is required by law, and where there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or to another person.
Your part in it
Coaching is collaborative. You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, and outcomes. No particular result is promised or guaranteed.
Recording and notes
Sessions are not recorded unless you ask for it or agree in advance. If you opt in to AI session summaries, you will be told which tool is used before it is used, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Scheduling
You book your session from the times offered on the calendar. You can reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice. A session cancelled inside 24 hours, or missed without notice, is treated as delivered.
Refunds
Before you submit your intake, cancel for a full refund. Once the intake has been submitted and read, the preparation is done; if you cancel before the session at that point, half the fee is refunded. After the session has taken place, the fee is not refundable.
Credit toward a program
Your fee is credited in full toward a coaching program within six months of the date of payment.
Starting straight away
By accepting these terms and beginning your intake, you are asking for the service to start immediately, and you accept that once it has been fully performed you no longer have a right to withdraw from it.
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute falls to the courts of Basel-Stadt.
